Sharjah now has its new entertainment destination with a lot of leisure and fun

The emirate of Sharjah now adds its new leisure destination: Madar and its doors are open now for the public for the first time that is packed with a lot of entertainment and excitement. Arada officially opened its first completed part of Aljada, a master-planned development that covers over 2.2 square kilometres set to transform the future of Sharjah.

Madar at Aljada is launched by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the supreme council member and the ruler of Sharjah. Madar, the new family destination that invites visitors for all ages and interest to explore a variety of entertainment and leisure activities.

Among the attraction, it hosts Zad, a new address for the UAE’s food lovers that offers 18 different F&B outlets. It offers a huge selection of cuisines and treats on offers and leaves you to explore a variety of choices from branded outlets including Amorino, Chick’nCone, Cracked, Dookies, Dr Pasta, Krush Burger, Retro 7 and many more at your service. Zad offers a lovely place surrounded by greenery and offers two impressive designed zones consisting of a drive-thru space and a social picnic area along with extensive seating areas. It comes to life at night, when the bright-lit façade combines with different artwork creations.

Yourspace, a fully-fledged events hall and an Amphitheatre that hosts outdoor events which has a maximum capacity of 500 people. It benefits the entire community with individuals able to hire or when it is not booked it host studios, market, exhibitions and conferences at its ease.

Playscape, an immersive and exciting kid’s adventure zones that offers various entertainment and leisure areas filled with green zones. It also includes a climbing wall and activity nets and is the most popular part of Madar. While located adjacent to the Playscape is Skatepark, a new home for adventure sports and enthusiasts.

AUS Pavilion, a sweeping architecture designed by the students of the American University of Sharjah that provide shade and a communal area for residents and visitors of Aljada.

Aljada Discovery Centre, the masterpiece of Madar designed by the Zaha Hadid Architects. It is an elliptical building that showcases all elements of the city’s master plan, while features a large open space that is lit by natural light coming through its double-height glass façade. The Discovery Centre also features an immersive, coil-shaped ‘experience room’ that offers visitors to experience various parts of Aljada with 360-degree perspective with the help of next-gen technology and VR.
